Irwin Reiss is Professor of Neonatology and head of the division of Neonatology at the Erasmus MC – Sophia Children’s Hospital. His main focus of research is, among others, a cardiopulmonary adaptation of the preterm baby, as well as the pulmonary vascular disease in bronchopulmonary dysplasia. He is (co)author of over 100 international peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of national and international professional societies and a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
